Yuriy Karlin performed the role of Prince ("The Nutcracker," "Swan Lake", "Sleeping Beauty" by P.Tchaikovsky), Drosselmeyer ("The Nutcracker" by Pyotr Tchaikovsky), Romeo ("Romeo and Juliet" by Sergey Prokofiev), Paolo ("Francesca da Rimini" by Pyotr Tchaikovsky ), Albert ("Giselle" by Adolphe Adam), Solor ("La Bayadere" by Ludwig Minkus), José ("Carmen Suite" by Georges Bizet - Rodion Shchedrin), Young men ("Les Sylphides" to the music by Frederic Chopin) and others. He performed as a guest soloist in the International Ballet Theatre (the USA).
He is a laureate of the I All Union Festival of Creative Youth in Minsk (1976), a participant of the festival "Stars of the Soviet Ballet" (1988). He was awarded the diploma of the first degree of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine (1980), the medal "For Labour Valor" (1986).
Yuriy Karlin is a teacher of Odessa School of Art and Culture named after K. Dankevich (classical choreography).
