For 50 years, he has been involved in opera and ballet productions, collaborating with major international theatrical institutions. He has always had a particular interest in promoting young artists. He has collaborated with such directors as Zeffirelli, Ponnelle, Del Monaco, Beni Montressor, and such conductors as Sir Georg Solti, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Gianandrea Gavazzeni, Niksa Bareza.
In 2019, he founded the company “Opera Production C.D.” based in Austria, a company dealing with theatrical productions and co-productions.
At an organisational level, among the many productions performed, we remember Salieri’s Falstaff with “La società dell'Opera Buffa” of Milan, of which he was co-founder and organisational director, an opera taken on tour to the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York. For 12 years, organiser and producer of the opera season at the Manoel theatre in Valletta in Malta. He organised Tosca and Lucia di Lammermoor in Seoul, the collaborations for Madama Butterfly and Pagliacci between the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and the Kyoto festival in Japan (the first Opera shows performed inside the temples of the world heritage of Kyoto). The collaborations with the Theatre of San Paolo in Brazil and Rio de Janeiro, with various Japanese theatres, with theatres of Panama, Canada, India and China. With the Opera Production C.D., we recall the collaborations between the Verdi Theatre of Trieste and some Ukrainian theatres, which took place in 2018, 2019, and 2020, featuring ballet and opera productions. The collaboration with the Theatre of Messina continues where Tosca, Aida were produced, and in 2026, there will be Turandot with the Theatre of Las Palmas with the works La Bohème, Rigoletto, La Gioconda, La Fedora, Lucia di Lammermoor, Ernani and Manon Lescaut. The Co-production of Andrea Chenier, with the Theatre of Maribor (Slovenia) and the Verdi Theatre of Trieste.
We produced and performed the world premiere in Trieste of the opera by Respighi, “Al Mulino” for which we had the permission to perform from the Cini Foundation of Venice.
We performed for the first time in Italy and in Livorno (September 2023) in co-production with Japan, the original Opera by Pietro Mascagni, “Cavalleria Rusticana”, has never been performed even in Livorno.
In February 2024, we organised, in collaboration with the Promotion Committee of the Puccini Celebrations, the tour of the Orchestra of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome where it performed the concert (entirely Puccini) on the occasion of the two years since the Russian invasion.
In July of 2024, Opera Production was in Bangkok to organise, during the celebrations of the birthday of the King of Thailand (with his presence) on the occasion of the centenary of Puccini, the opera Madama Butterfly. Recently, we followed up with the Embassy and the Italian Institute of Italian Culture, the production of Gianni Schicchi and Suor Angelica, performed for the first time in Odessa. A tour of the Orchestra of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in Japan was organised in March 2025.
