Born in 1959, he began studying violin at a young age at the “F. Manzato” Music High School in Treviso, later graduating from the Bologna Conservatory after earning his high school diploma. He has performed chamber music, particularly the Baroque repertoire, with leading instrumental ensembles.
Since 1980, he has played in the Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta as Concertino dei Secondi Violini. In 1989, he was its Organisational Secretary, assisting the Artistic Director in programming and organising the musical seasons at the Teatro Comunale di Treviso, and decentralising the orchestra throughout the region.
He collaborated with the Solisti Veneti for several years in the artistic organisation of recording productions and concert activities.
From 1995 to 1996, he was the Head of Musical Services at the Teatro Comunale di Treviso, coordinating musical activities, particularly the Opera Season, with specific focus on orchestral staffing issues and overseeing all production phases.
Since December 1995, he has been Artistic Director of Asolo Musica - Veneto Musica, an association that organises over 150 musical events throughout the region in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and the Veneto Region. In particular, he oversees the program of the prestigious International Chamber Music Festival “Incontri Asolani”, which, now in its thirtieth year, annually hosts the most important and acclaimed chamber music performers.
In 1997, he served as Head of Programming and Artistic Organisation at the Arena di Verona Opera House; the same institution appointed him Artistic Director of the 76th Arena Festival the following year.
From 2000 to 2018, he was the Organisational Director of Teatri S.p.A., an instrumental company of the Cassamarca Foundation of Treviso, whose activities are focused on planning and managing cultural initiatives held at the facilities entrusted to its management, particularly the Teatro Comunale and the Teatro Eden in Treviso.
From January 2005 to February 2008, he was the Artistic Director for opera and music activities at the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation of Jesi. In particular, he oversaw the programming of the Pergolesi Spontini Festival, which takes place in the summer in the main towns of the Vallesina, and the Traditional Opera Season at the historic Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi.
From 2009 to 2018, he was the Project Director for Advanced Training activities for technical and artistic professionals in the entertainment industry, following Teatri S.p.A.'s accreditation by the Veneto Region.
From October 2011 to December 2020, he was Director of the Antonio Salieri Foundation in Legnago. From May 2017 to May 2023, he was Artistic Director of the Concert Season at the Teatro Comunale di Monfalcone.
From the 2011-2012 academic year, he taught Entertainment Industry as a contract professor at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
From 2012 to 2014, he taught Entertainment Organisation at the “Benedetto Marcello” State Conservatory of Music in Venice. From the 2021-2022 academic year, he taught the same subject at the “Pollini” Conservatory in Padua, and from the 2022-2023 academic year at the Ferrara Conservatory.
Since 2020, he has been President of the Settimane Musicali association at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza.
In February 2023, the Veneto Region appointed him to the Board of Directors of the Arena di Verona Foundation, and in December 2023, to the Board of Directors of Arteven, a regional association dedicated to promoting and disseminating theatre and culture in Veneto communities.
For his cultural achievements, he was awarded the honour of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
Since June 2025, he has been Artistic Director of the Carlo Felice Foundation in Genoa.
