Stakhovska Olena

People’s Artist of Ukraine (2013), Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2002), Professor at the Odessa National A. V. Nezhdanova Music Academy.

A graduate of the K. F. Dankevich Odessa Music College (1974, piano). She completed her piano studies at the Odessa State Conservatory named after A. V. Nezhdanova in 1979 (class of Professor L. N. Ginzburg). She graduated from the vocal faculty in 1980 (class of Professor O. M. Fomenko). She later completed her postgraduate vocal studies in the class of Professor G. A. Polivanova (1997).

Her artistic career began at the Odessa Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, where she undertook an internship in 1979. Since 1980, she has been a soloist-vocalist with the Odessa Regional Philharmonic. Alongside her performance career, she has been deeply involved in music education. Since 1984, she has taught at the Department of Solo Singing at the Odessa State Conservatory (now the Odessa National A. V. Nezhdanova Music Academy). From 2002 to 2017, she worked as Dean of the Vocal and Choir Faculty, and since 2021, she has headed the Department of Solo Singing.

Olena Stakhovska’s stage and concert career includes performances in Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Austria, Italy, Canada, Finland, and the USA.
