Information notice about the competition

Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater announces a competition to fill vacancies for trainee vocalist (soloist) (soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, baritone, bass)

Date and place of the competition: March 2 - 10, 2021, Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater (Odessa, Tchaikovsky Lane, 1)

Qualification requirements for applicants: higher education in the relevant field of study (master's degree, specialist or bachelor's degree) without work experience requirements. Availability of the necessary vocal, musical and stage abilities, mastery of acting skills to create compelling vocal and stage images.

To participate in the competition, applicants submit the following documents:

- statement in any form;

- personnel record card with a pasted photo;

- a copy of an identity document;

- a copy of the employment record book (if available);

- a copy of the document on education in the relevant specialty;

- creative resume;

- video recording of the performance under the piano or with the applicant's orchestra of two contrasting different works (two arias or one aria and a romance) with a demonstration of the full range and musical abilities of the applicant.

Competition is held in two stages:

The first stage of the competition will take place on March 2, 2021. - consideration of documents submitted by applicants.

The second stage of the competition consists of two rounds.

The first round will take place on March 2, 2021. - review by the tender commission of the video materials provided by the applicants and selection of the participants of the second round.

The second round will take place on March 10, 2021. in the auditorium of the theater - the performance of two contrasting works of different characteristics (two arias or one aria and romance) with a demonstration of the full range and musical abilities of the applicant (it is possible to repeat the program on the video). At the request of the commission, additional directorial tasks are possible.

Dress code - comfortable loose clothing and shoes for the ability to perform acting tasks. At the request of the participant of the second round, the Theater provides the accompanist (participation with the accompanist is possible).

The theater does not pay for travel and accommodation.
