Born in Lviv. Graduated from the S. Liudkevych Music College. Mezzo-soprano Maria Berezovska studied singing at the Odesa State (now National) Conservatory and graduated with a Bachelor's degree. She later continued her studies at the Accademia d'Arte Lirica (Ancona, Italy) and at the A. V. Nezhdanova Odesa National Music Academy, where she completed her studies and received a Master's degree at the Department of Solo Singing, in the class of Professor, Academician, People's Artist of Ukraine Halyna Polyvanova. Maria is a Laureate of the Anatoliy Solovianenko International Vocal Competition (Ukraine); Diploma recipient of the Vocal Competition in Toulouse, France; Finalist of the Vocal Competition in Vercelli, Italy. She participated in festival performances in Crete (Greece) under the direction of Gunnar Stromsholm. Maria performs as a guest soloist in leading roles at major European opera houses: the Polish National Opera in Warsaw, the Estonian National Opera in Tallinn, the Romanian National Opera in Bucharest, the Bergen National Opera, Norway; and at the Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice, Poland.
