Tuomas Kantelinen is a Finnish composer renowned for his contributions to cinema, opera, and television. He is the composer of the ballet production The Snow Queen, which premiered on November 29, 2024, at the Odesa National Opera.
Maestro Kantelinen studied classical composition at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. His work is characterized by a neo-romantic style. The composer gained recognition across Europe for his operatic and concert music, as well as his orchestral compositions for films.
One of his notable works is an opera dedicated to the legendary Finnish athlete Paavo Nurmi.
