Honoured Artist of Ukraine

Igor Chernetski obtained a diploma from the Salomeya Krushelnitskaya Ternopil College of Music and then graduated from the Nezhdanova Odessa National Academy of Music (former the Nezhdanova Odessa Conservatory).

The conductor had additional training in the Higher School of Music in Freiburg (Germany) between 1993 and 1994. Before joining the Odessa Opera Mr Chernetski was Principal Conductor at the Vasylko Theatre of Music and Drama and a conductor at the Vodyanoy Odessa Academic Theatre of Musical Comedy.

At present Mr Chernetski is an Associate Professor at the Opera Training Chair of the Nezhdanova Odessa National Academy of Music. By the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 14/2019 on January 22, 2019, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.
